Every year, animal shelters around the world are faced with a seemingly inevitable flow of abandoned animals a few months after Christmas. Animals do not make good gifts. They are a responsibility and a commitment. They are sentient beings who, like us, require love and proper care during all their life (15+ years for most cats and dogs).
You can give the gift of love this Christmas by sponsoring a rescue instead.
Why sponsoring is important
When we welcome a new cat or dog at our shelter, they often need medical attention. For some, the treatment can be long and expensive. Most of our rescues will need time in our care before being ready to be adopted. Sponsorship by animal lovers like you helps us provide the rescue all they need until they find a forever home. A $25 sponsorship will help us provide shelter, food & veterinary care for your sponsored dog or cat.

From December 1st to Christmas, we will present 24 rescues looking for a sponsor. Check our special Advent Calendar and follow us on social media to learn more about their stories!
Don’t forget to inform us with the details of the sponsor. They will receive a Christmas e-card featuring their sponsored rescue and regular updates through the year so they know exactly how they’re supporting their rescue! 🎁
