Handicap of the month

Moon’s story

In September 2023, we were contacted about a tiny kitten, abandoned in a local market after being hit by a motorbike. The vendors kept her safe until our rescue helpers came to pick her up.
Paralysed from the waist down Moon had terribly infected and wounded legs from dragging herself on the floor. Moon has a broken femur which will unfortunately need amputation when she will be bigger.

Her wounds have healed and Moon is enjoying her life at the Cat House. She is a kitten full of energy, always looking for playmates!

Here at Paws for Compassion, we have 15 handicapped and special needs cats who need a little extra love and attention. As you can imagine, this is no easy feat. But, of course totally worth it!

Can you help us?
With so many special needs cats and dogs in our care, we need support! Their ongoing daily upkeep, food, toys, and therapy equipment all add up. Will you help us continue caring for the little ones who have nowhere else to go?
