Requirements & Qualifications
- Vietnamese citizenship
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese
- A strong passion and compassion for both animals and people
- Experience in dog care, preferably in a shelter or rescue setting
- Ability to coordinate with staff and rescue volunteers, including handling scheduling and shift coverage
- Experience in administrative duties and record-keeping, such as maintaining treatment logs and foster reports
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with reliable follow-through on medical and daily care tasks
About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and dedicated Shelter Attendant to help oversee the daily operations of our dog rescue.
In this role, you will lead the team, coordinate outreach projects, and support the training of new staff and volunteers.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the shelter runs smoothly, maintains high standards of care, and provides a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all of our rescue dogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shelter operations to ensure all dogs receive the highest quality of care
- Administer basic medical treatments and medications on schedule, keeping precise logs for each dog
- Ensure all veterinary follow-ups are completed on designated dates
- Provide Vietnamese-language support, including translation, written correspondence, and in-person communication with adopters, fosters, and visitors
- Respond to community outreach cases when safe and feasible
- Maintain and update the outreach case log
