Hi, This Is My Life Story

Hi everyone, I’m Tilly and just over a year ago I wasn’t able to greet you with a friendly bark but now I am so grateful to be able to tell you my story.

I am a very lucky survivor of the dog meat trade but sadly had such awful things happen to me. I was cruelly beaten and mutilated by a dog catcher who wanted to sell me to be killed and eaten. This was a terrifying experience. I was so scared of what was happening to me and in so much pain as my catchers had beaten me so badly they had broken and dislocated my jaw.

My luck changed when a couple saw me on the back of the dog catcher bike and rescued me from him. They took me into their garden but I was cowering, whimpering and covered in blood because of the damage done to my jaw.

My guardian angels took me straight to the vet and I had to undergo life-saving surgery on her fractured jaw and was in unimaginable pain. I couldn’t eat, drink or bark.

When I was well enough I moved to the dog shelter and felt better being able to have more space to run around in. I became used to the regular volunteers and staff and started to show them my sweet personality. I am still quite nervous around new people, especially men but with the love I have been shown at the shelter I really want to learn to love humans again.

I am so happy at the dog shelter as I have my best friends Banh Bao and Huda to play with all the time.

I would feel so happy if you choose to be my sponsor today as it means another hooman loves me and wants to look after me. I would feel so special.
