Groundbreaking for our new dog house
We have officially taken our first physical steps towards our new dog shelter!
This month, we gathered on-site to hold a traditional Vietnamese Groundbreaking ceremony. In local culture, this beautiful ritual seeks permission and blessings from the local land spirits, asking for safety and good fortune throughout the construction.
Standing on the ground where so many lives will soon be transformed, we could already picture the happy tail wags and safe healing spaces that will soon exist here.
Construction is officially underway, but we really need our community’s help to cross the finish line. We are currently 2,000 USD (approx. 52,000,000 VND) short of our final fundraising target required to complete the final build.
Every single donation brings us closer to securing a safe haven for dogs who have nowhere else to turn.
We have come so far together, and we just need one final push to open these doors. Could you help us lay the final bricks for our new dog house?
Meet our newest rescues
It’s raining kittens at Paws!
It seems July decided to shower us with tiny whiskered arrivals!
Firstly, a kind tourist visiting Da Nang reached out to Paws after discovering four helpless kittens abandoned inside a trash bag near her hotel.
Covered in dirt but thankfully stable, these two-week-old babies urgently needed care. After spending some time in foster home, we are pleased to report that two of these kitties were adopted, and two have now joined us at the cat shelter.
Shortly after, three more tiny kitties, Sunny, Cloudy, and Misty, were rescued from a dumpsite by one of our dedicated rescue helpers. After receiving immediate, intensive care to get them through their most critical first days, all three have stabilized and officially joined our shelter family.
With five new rescue kittens settling in, our cat house is buzzing with little purrs and tiny claws!
All of them are wonderfully affectionate, thriving under our care, and officially ready to search for their forever homes. Could one of these sweet babies be your new best friend?
Adopted & Loved
A quiet connection turns into forever for Kira
Kira has found her forever person, and we couldn’t be happier for her! Rescued weak and alone during one of our TNVR programmes, Kira fought bravely to overcome FPV before she was ready for adoption. When her future owner came to meet her, Kira was feeling a little shy, but that quiet moment led to the perfect match between two gentle souls.
Now settling into her forever home, Kira is slowly blossoming into the cuddly, playful cat we always knew she could be. We’re so happy to see this sweet girl thriving!
A magical foster-fail for Ron & George
The magic of a foster-fail strikes again! Inseparable ginger brothers Ron and George have officially been adopted by their foster dad! Rescued as tiny kittens, they stuck together through thick and thin, including Ron’s brave battle with FIP.
What started as a temporary safe haven became their forever home. A massive thank you to their amazing dad for turning a temporary sanctuary into a forever family!
From a tied bag to a loving home: Kuro’s full-circle journey
Kuro has officially been adopted! When Kuro was just 2 days old, he was found tied inside a bag with his siblings, Tangerine and Luka. Without their mother, the tiny kittens needed round-the-clock bottle feeding and intensive care to survive. Thanks to their incredible foster mum, they all pulled through. As Kuro grew, the bond between him and his foster mum became impossible to break, and she officially adopted him and his sisters.
Now, all three rescued siblings are safe, loved, and living happily in their forever home.
Meat Trade Survivors
Meet Blaze & Fang
Blaze and Fang survived the unimaginable horrors of the cat meat trade after being rescued during a major investigation that led to the rescue of 400 cats in Ho Chi Minh City. But now, they face another heartbreaking battle. Both arrived in our care severely weakened and were soon diagnosed with FIP, a life-threatening virus requiring urgent, intensive treatment.
Thanks to the dedication of our team, they are slowly making progress, but their journey is far from over.
Your support can help cover their ongoing treatment and give these two brave survivors the chance to finally enjoy the safe, happy life they deserve.
