We’re sharing heartwarming stories from the frontlines of our mission featuring rescued animals, incredible transformations, and updates on our ongoing projects. We’ll highlight our newest rescues, progress in foster care, and the impact of your support in making these stories possible. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
Meet our newest rescues
December was an incredibly busy month for our team welcoming 10 new rescues into the Paws family: 3 cats and 7 dogs. While each of their stories is unique, they share a common thread of desperate need for kindness and urgent medical attention after being neglected or abandoned in heartbreaking conditions.
Most of these cases need urgent help and we need to act immediately to bring them to safety, start their treatment and begin their long road to recovery.
From heartlessly abandoned, to safety
Can you believe that our beautiful “Christmas puppies” (Cocoa, Nutmeg, Holly, and Sugarplum) were heartlessly dumped as a litter not once, but twice, before they finally reached the safety of our care? Then there is Dustin the cat, a sweet soul who was found abandoned, thin, and terrified.
These cases reflect the harsh reality faced by so many animals in Vietnam. At Paws, we strive to be their voice and their sanctuary. Our priority is to help as many animals as possible heal, regain confidence, and eventually find the furever homes they truly deserve.
Every time a rescue is adopted, it doesn’t just change one life: it opens up space in our shelter for another animal in desperate need of saving.
If you have room in your heart and your home, why not start the new year with a new best friend?
End-of-year happy tails
There is no greater joy for our team than seeing our rescues find their FURRYtail endings. We are incredibly happy that during December, 6 cats and 1 lucky pup have been adopted into loving homes! What makes it even more special is that it was their very first festive period spent in the warmth of a real home, surrounded by the love of their new PAWrents. YAY!
Double the love: Kimchi and Soybean
Some bonds are simply too strong to break. At our Cat House, Kimchi and Soybean were inseparable, always leaning on one another for comfort. We are absolutely over the moon to share that they were adopted together! They are now settling into their new home, proving that some friendships really are forever.
Spud's happy ending
Spud has officially been adopted by her foster PAWrents and is starting the year exactly safe, loved, and right at home, exactly where she belongs.
It is hard to believe she is the same tiny, terrified 4-week-old puppy we found abandoned in front of a gym. Today, Spud has found her confidence and is proudly a “chew-toy-loving little monster,” busy exploring her world one nibble at a time, thanks to her wonderful new PAWrents!
We hope every one of our rescues finds their FURRYtail ending this year, just like Spud. It really is the perfect start to a PAWsitive 2026!
