A Year of Compassion:
Our 2024 Achievements
As we reflect on 2024, we are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our partners, donors, fosters, adopters, rescue helpers and the community. Their help has allowed us to achieve so much for the animals so desperately in need.
Here are some of the key milestones from this year:
Pet Rescue and Rehabilitation
In 2024, we successfully rescued 27 cats and 14 dogs. These rescues were neglected, abandoned or sick.
One of our biggest aims is to rehome our rescues and we are thrilled to share that 12 dogs and 26 cats have found their forever homes in 2024, 18 of them in less than 6 months after being rescued.
This year, we also celebrated two international adoptions: Katniss (adopted in Canada) and Happy (adopted in Austria). Additionally, two of our rescue dogs, Pearl (now in Thailand) and Lo Lem (who has travelled through several countries), have moved abroad shortly after their adoptions. We’re especially proud to share that Lo Lem has recently been certified as an Assistance Dog.
Adopt a Rescue
When you adopt a dog or cat from Paws For Compassion, we need to make sure that you are 100% committed to your fur-family, and take them with you wherever you move to next. It may be a bit costly to bring him or her with you, depending on where you travel to, but we know just the right people to help with the process and relocate your pet abroad.
Community Outreach
Beyond our shelter work, we’ve remained committed to our community outreach program, providing support to families with pets in need. Our biggest project this year involved assisting a local household with 18 unvaccinated and unsterilised dogs. Our team has visited the family several times, providing tick and flea prevention, deworming, and food. We are working closely with the kind and cooperative owner to arrange vaccinations and sterilisations for all the dogs.
As part of our ongoing partnership with FOUR PAWS International and Paws International Clinic, we’ve continued offering free sterilisation and vaccination to local pet owners. This year, we proudly sterilised 180 dogs, 919 cats, and even a mouse! But that’s not all—during our annual World Rabies Day event, we vaccinated 120 pets against rabies!

Education Program and Animal Welfare Workshops
Creating lasting change for animals starts with education. We are dedicated to empowering the next generation with the knowledge they need to make a difference in the lives of all the animals around them. This year, we offered free lessons for teachers and provided both onsite and offsite educational programs for learners of all ages.
One of our most exciting education events this year was a visit to Singapore International School, where we had the opportunity to present to over 500 students in two groups. For the older students, we discussed animal welfare, the dog meat trade, and how they can support Paws for Compassion. For the younger students, we focused on teaching the basics of pet care and their needs.
We invited the teachers to discuss volunteering opportunities with their high school students and enjoyed every minute of the students’ visits to our shelters. In total, we hosted 15 workshops and educated 661 students this year.
Through these initiatives, we are proud to inspire the next generation of compassionate individuals who will make a difference for animals.
YOU can make a difference
As a non-profit relying solely on public donations, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our supporters—who make it possible for us to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need. Your contributions have enabled us to provide essential vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and medical treatment to thousands of animals.
Please consider continuing your support to help us carry out our vital work.
From all of us at Paws for Compassion, thank you for your commitment to making the world a better place for animals in need.
Together, we can make a difference!
