Paws Rescue Diaries:

October 2025

Welcome to this month’s edition of our Rescue Diaries!
In this post, we’re sharing heartwarming stories from the frontlines of our mission—featuring rescued animals, incredible transformations, and updates on our ongoing projects.

We’ll highlight our newest rescues, progress in foster care, and the impact of your support in making these stories possible. Thank you for helping us make a difference!

Meet our newest rescues

Meet Bong Lau

This sweet girl was found at a building site. With no one to care for her at such a young age, her health was already starting to decline, and she was at risk of being captured for the dog meat trade.

Bong Lau didn’t resist when our team gently placed her into a crate. Even though she likely hadn’t known much kindness before, she seemed to understand she was finally safe.

At our clinic, she was diagnosed with mange and ectoparasites. Her skin is sore and covered in open, itchy wounds. Blood tests also showed high liver enzymes, likely due to a heavy parasite burden. She’s not feeling well and will need ongoing care to recover.

Little Bong Lau needs your help. Any donation, big or small, will help cover her treatment, initial vaccinations, and daily care.

Adopted & Loved

Kiri Found Her Forever Family

Kiri was found wandering the streets, looking lost and in rough shape. She was diagnosed with demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition that requires medicated baths and ongoing treatment.

Despite everything she’s been through, Kiri was immediately incredibly sweet and cuddly. She loved being around people and clearly craved affection.

When a lovely family reached out to us about adopting a dog, Kiri immediately came to mind. And as soon as she met Jessica, John, and their two sons, it was a perfect match!

This amazing family took the time to visit Kiri several times before the adoption, helping to make her transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.

And smooth it was! Kiri settled in right away, quickly making herself at home. She’s now spending her days playing and snuggling with her new brothers, surrounded by love.

We couldn’t be happier with this beautiful adoption story.

Two Siblings, One Forever Home!

Ted, Scout, and their siblings Speck, Salem, and Sailor were found when they were only two weeks old after falling from a roof. With no mom in sight and far too young to survive on their own, they were brought to us and raised by our amazing foster families, growing up strong, healthy, and confident!

Our Cat House is currently over capacity after taking in so many kittens and emergency rescues since May. Sadly, that means we’ve had to say no to some kittens in need.

That’s why adoption is so important — every adoption not only gives a rescue a second chance but also opens space for another animal waiting to be saved.

A huge thank you to Douwe and Huyen for opening their hearts and home to this purrfect pair.

Community Outreach

Help Lucky And Other Like Her

Sweet Lucky was first spotted by a concerned tourist at a local temple, limping painfully and struggling to walk. Her front leg had suffered a severe break that healed badly, leaving her paw twisted at a 90° angle. Every step caused her pain.

Lucky needed surgery to repair her leg and give her a chance to walk normally again. Thanks to our amazing vets at the Paws Clinic, the operation was a success!

But Lucky’s healing journey is far from over and we now need your help to cover these costs and to keep giving animals like Lucky the second chance they deserve.

Please consider supporting Lucky’s journey to full mobility and a life without pain.
